Review: Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner*

I'm very picky when it comes to liners.

I often find that a lot of liquid liners can be highly disappointing and end up looking a bit wishy washy on application. I converted to gel liners over a year ago and I haven't really looked back.

I received Benefit's They're Real Push Up Liner at a blogger event and the lovely ladies from Benefit gave a full demonstration on how the liner works. Considering the hype around the eyeliner and all the countless reviews, I didn't immediately jump to a positive conclusion.

The one thing I did take away immediately was that the application process does take a little getting used to. It definitely took me a good few attempts to get used to it, I found that I wasn't getting enough product out of the liner or I would get a line that was too thick and then I couldn't remove it easily.

Yes, that is the one good and bad thing about this liner. It is an absolute pain to remove, unless you buy the companion eye makeup remover. However, it doesn't shift during the day and remains in place all day. It doesn't smudge, it's pretty much waterproof and it doesn't dry out, all in all, once you get used to the application, it's a pretty perfect liner. If you can put up with the tricky removal process.

The one good thing about the tip of this liner is the shape. Benefit have created an AccuFlex™ tip which is said to give a smoother liner and the angled tip helps to create the perfect wing. Once you get used to it, it really does help with the placement of the wing and creating a smooth line. I've found that I'm saving time instead of spending a lengthy period of time trying to perfect my eyeliner.

So, is this a good product? Yes! I do stress that this product does take some time getting used to but honestly once you get past that and you get used to it, you will find yourself in possession of a pretty fantastic liner.
