Review: Make Up Rumours Ultimate Metallics 'Brush on the Bronze'*

I'm a sucker for all things metallic.

So when I spotted the Make Up Rumours Ultimate Metallics 'Brush on the Bronze' boxset, I immediately had to pick it up.

The set contains an ten piece eye shadow palette, two lip glosses, two nail polishes and a glittery black eyeliner. Best of all? All these goodies are the very tempting price of £3.99.

With all these goodies, I couldn't wait to get started on looking at each of the products. So let's have a closer look at the products.

Eye shadow palette

This palette is absolutely gorgeous. There are no mattes in this palette but you get a lovely range of delicate shimmery metallics that remind me of the Urban Decay 3 palette.

Ranging from the softest pink to the darker mauve colours, the shadows are very pigmented and go on the lid extremely easy, which is perfect for creating that perfect smokey metallic eye. The shadows have a fantastic staying power that last very well on the eyes and don't smudge or fade easily after a long period of time. The size of this palette is also perfect for travelling or just to keep in your bag for any touch ups.

Lip Glosses

I've mentioned that I'm branching out with my lip glosses, so I was really happy to see that there were lip glosses in this boxset. The lip glosses glide on beautifully on the lip and are very moisturising on the lips and leave your lips looking healthy, plump and perfectly kissable. Once again, I was very impressed with the quality of Make Up Rumours lip products.
This is a delicate shimmery pink gloss, which is a perfect natural gloss for creating a barely there lip.
This gloss on the other hand creates a more statement lip perfect for evenings. With a brown base with a gold shimmer running through, it creates a very pretty bronze colour.
Nail Polishes
I was thrilled to see a gold nail polish in this set as I was in the market for a new polish. I reviewed two of Make Up Rumours nail polishes which I was pleased with, so I was excited to see how these would fair too.
The gold polish is so beautiful. It is that perfect brushed gold shade that creates a soft delicate nail rather than being an overpowering gold. I'm really excited to use this polish in the winter months especially around Christmas for creating a festive nail.

I got a little bit excited about the glittery pink polish. I think I'm trying to live the dream of being a Barbie girl. With a pink undertone and pink glitter running through the polish, it is perfect to layer on top of a pink nail.
Lasting wise the polishes have a good few days in them before chipping without a top coat, which is fine with me as I like changing my polishes pretty regularly.
Glitter Eyeliner
Out of the set, this is the product that disappointed me. I first thought that this would be a shimmer black eyeliner, however, it is a clear polish with a black glitter running through.
While this could usually work, the liner itself is a bit wet and took a long time to dry.
Overall, I couldn't recommend this product more. This is a gorgeous little set for a very tempting price and it would make a perfect gift for a friend or a little treat for yourself.
