Review: Make Up Rumours Nail Polish in Shade 4 & 36*

I am nail obsessed.

I frequently sit down and rearrange my polishes and I seem to always pick up a new shade every time I head into Boots or Superdrug.

So, as you can imagine, I had to pick up some nail polishes from Make Up Rumours. I seriously need to learn to have a bit more will power but when the prices are as naughty as Make Up Rumours, who could resist?

After having a gander at my nail polish collection, I decided to pick up two pink polishes and I settled with Shade 4 and Shade 36.

Shade 4 is from the Make Up Rumours Natural Collection. The colour is a beautiful sheer nude polish with a pink and gold shimmer running through it. What is so beautiful about this polish is that when the light hits your nails, it reveals the most stunning colour. The delicate nature of the polish means it is perfect for work, school and for days when you want a more natural looking nail.

Shade 36 is from the Severe Collection. This colour is a bright, bold and a 'little bit in your face' kinda pink. It comes out as a glossy pink and makes your nails look absolutely delicious. It is summer in a bottle of nail polish and is perfect for those summery days and nights when you want a bold statement nail that makes your hands look that little bit fierce.

The polishes are good quality and go on the nail with ease. Both shades take about two coats to get a solid colour base and amazingly, they dry very quickly. Which means you do not have to do the pincer routine when picking things up for an hour.

Lasting wise, testing without a top coat, the polishes have a good few days in them before chipping. Shade 4 seems to last longer than Shade 36, probably because it is such a sheer colour that if it does chip it is barely noticeable.

I highly recommend these nail polishes and I've got my eye on the other sets that Make Up Rumours offer. These are good quality polishes for a very naughty price of a £1 each and come in a large variety of shades.

Need a new berry shade for autumn? or hanging on to Summer and need something bright? Look no further, Make Up Rumours caters to all your nail polish needs.
