Review: Make Up Rumours Dazzle Eye Shadow Palette in Shade 4*

I really can't help myself with eye shadow palettes.

No matter how many I buy, I always seem to end up buying more. Maybe I'm on a hunt for the perfect eye shadow?

So when I was perusing Make Up Rumours, I found myself looking at the eye shadow palettes. After a long deliberation, I finally settled on Shade 4, which is a palette mixed of blues and purples.

I generally stick to more neutral colours or the more darker charcoal colours but for a change I was intrigued by this palette's colours. Perhaps I'm getting a bit more adventurous?

The palette comes in sleek black packaging and comes with a sponge tip applicator. Personally, I do not use sponge tip applicators but it is still a handy addition to the palette.

Once again I was so surprised at the quality of the product, especially after being extremely happy with their lipsticks. The colours in the palette are very pigmented, even with a minimal amount of shadow being used, you still end up with a very solid base of colour. The shades can also be worked out to be either darker or into more of a sheer colour with very minimal effort.

The white shade is an absolutely gorgeous highlighter and really helps to open up your eyes. The lilac shade is very delicate and is so light when applied on the eye lid that it appears as a sheer shimmer. The pale blue is very much like the lilac and appears sheer when applied to the lid. The darker purple is a little too bright for my liking, but when blended out does leave a very lovely finish.

For me, the real show stealer of this palette has to be the deep blue, which is absolutely stunning. When paired with the white shade, you can create an almost silvery smokey eye, the blue is especially beautiful when used just under the lower waterline and in the crease. This colour would also be beautiful when used with a darker pigment to create more depth with your eye make up.

I'm extremely impressed with this palette, not only with the good quality of the product but also the price of only £1 for five shades. It's the perfect size for travelling with if you don't want to take a full palette and it could also work as the perfect starter palette for someone just starting out with make up.

The Dazzle range also comes in neutral shades, perfect for those days when you want a natural, barely there look, and more darker, smokey colours for when you want something a little bit more sultry, sexy and perfect for a night on the town.

So, if you're looking for some new eye shadows to create that perfect look and want to save some pennies whilst you're there, look no further.
