Review: Organix Thick and Full Biotin & Collagen Shampoo and Conditioner

The one thing I wish I could change about my hair is its thickness, honestly, I am forever envious of people who have really thick hair.

So I am always interested in things that claim to help thicken your hair or to give it more volume, as I find that my hair often looks and feels quite flat, therefore, when I read about Biotin, I was very curious.

For those who have not heard about Biotin or Vitamin B7, is part of the Vitamin B complex, among some of its benefits including supposedly aiding weight loss, it is apparently meant to aid hair and nail growth. I was tempted to start taking supplements, but after researching about Biotin and some of the side effects such as skin break outs. Apparently, if you take Biotin properly alongside Vitamin B supplements and drink plenty of water, you can avoid this, but safe to say, I remain a little weary for now.

That is when I heard about Organix or OGX Thick and Full Biotin & Collagen shampoo and conditioner, now before I review this product, I must stress that this product does not claim to make your hair thicker, like taking Biotin supplements, OGX specifically write on their product that it is meant to, "create the appearance of thicker, fuller, healthier looking hair."

Okay, now that I have said that, on to reviewing the product!

I bought this shampoo and conditioner about five weeks ago now and I would definitely say it has made a difference on my hair, previously I had been using the Touch of Silver Daily Maintenance Shampoo and Conditioner and I found it really dried out my hair, so one definite positive of the products is that my hair is definitely a lot more manageable, easier to brush through after a shower and feels a lot more softer in general.

The smell of the product is divine, I can't really explain what it smells like, to me it reminds me of being in a hair salon and you get that smell of expensive hair products. The general feel of the product being massaged into my hair is great, it really lathers up well, and I'd say you don't need to use a lot of product to cover your hair, and I have very long hair, so I was thrilled to discover that I don't need to use half a palm of product to cover my head.

The product is selling at £6.99 at Boots, so not too expensive, I got both when an offer was on which was great, but paying that for shampoo and conditioner is pretty decent, especially when I am getting such great results from it.

So are there any negatives? Well, for me, I have not had any problems with the products so far, my hair feels great, looks shiny and is a lot more manageable post shower. I wouldn't say that my hair looks particularly thicker, it does feel a lot stronger than it did before I started using the product and one real bonus about the product is that it doesn't make my bleached blonde hair go brassy or lose its colour, which I think could be to do with the slight purple tint to the product, or it could just be because of the nourishing qualities of the shampoo and conditioner.

So all in all, the Organix Thick and Full Biotin & Collagen Shampoo and Conditioner are fantastic products that I would highly recommend, they've really improved my hair and I could not be more thrilled and I am really excited to maybe branch out and try their other hair care products after I have finished these products.

As previously stated you can buy this product from Boots, either in store, home delivery or delivery to store.
